Thank you for your interest in Butterfly Blessing Events. Our terms & conditions
cover all aspects of our service to avoid any disputes or misunderstanding regarding
our prop hire. If you have any additional questions

1. Quotation, Deposit & Payment
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
- We charge a refundable security deposit of £150. Payment for this is required upon booking. This secures your date with us, as well as protects the security and condition of our loved props.
- Payment of the deposit is an acknowledgement of our Terms & Conditions and both parties will be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The full agreed hire price is due 4 weeks prior to your event date and is separate to any security deposit monies received.
- Butterfly Blessing Events reserves the right to cancel any wedding or event décor hire, if payment is not made as per the T&Cs.
- We are not obliged to offer any compensation for inconvenience caused.
2. Terms of Service
- Delivery and set up of the props are included in the price. However, if your venue is 30 miles away, or more from CT16 3BW. £20 will be added to your total.
The hire period:
- Where possible. Delivery of the props would be completed the day before your event, if not, it would be early morning on the day of. The props will then be collected the morning after your event.
- If you require the items for longer, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
- Extended hire will come with an additional fee.
Butterfly Blessing Events:
- Do not hold any responsibility for adverse weather conditions affecting access to any venue. We will make every attempt to get to the venue only when it is deemed safe for its staff.
- Cannot be held responsible for ‘Acts of God’ (Fire, flood etc), Government Advice, Pandemics, labour disputes, failure of electricity supply and any other unforeseeable circumstances that prevent the promise of its services.
- Reserves the right to review and update prices periodically.
- Reserves the right to review and update the Terms & Conditions periodically.
- Hold Public Liability Insurance of £1 million pounds - policy available on request.
3. Allergies to sweet/ food displays
Hygiene is of upmost importance to us.
- All our sweets and doughnuts are handled with hygiene gloves, which will be changed if handling any items containing nuts.
- We regret due to cross contamination within the food factories we are UNABLE to guarantee that products we supply have not come into contact with any nut or nut derivatives.
- A full list of ingredients and allergens from each sweet jar, box of chocolates or doughnut packages can be provided upon request.
It is the hirers responsibility to determine if any of their guests have any specific food allergies. As a hirer / supplier only. As Butterfly Blessing Events will not have any involvement whatsoever with the guests attending.
4. Delivery/Collection
Deliveries and collections will be made as agreed and confirmed with each client.
- Free delivery and collection within a 30-mile radius of CT16 3BW.
- Thereafter a charge of £20 will be charged.
Deliveries:
- Please provide a representative (and their contact details) to meet the driver at delivery and collection to ensure the props are checked in and out.
- Please ensure any packaging is kept, so everything can be repacked correctly.
Collection:
- The items will be collected at an agreed time from the delivery location.
- All hired items must be removed of debris and returned as they were delivered, in the original packaging and boxes.
In the event that the client has requested to pick up/drop off items hired, and Butterfly Blessing Events has agreed to this. Then the client is responsible for the safe transit of all items. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on any unused goods.
4. Security Deposit & Damaged/Missing Items
The security deposit:
- Is £150 and is payable upfront, when securing your booking.
- This will be returned to the client within seven days of the items return date, once it is agreed that all items have been returned undamaged.
- Late returns will be charged at £50 per day.
Unless agreed by Butterfly Blessing Events in writing:
- All props are for indoor use only
- Any items left outside are done so entirely at the client’s risk and may result in the loss of the £150 security deposit. If any props are damaged/weathered.
- If items are used in a marquee, please ensure they are away from the sides to avoid water damage.
- If Butterfly Blessing Events has agreed that furniture/props can be used outside (weather permitting), please ensure they are not left outside overnight. Again, this may result in the loss of the £150 security deposit.
- We understand that accidents happen occasionally, but all damages and losses will be charged or deducted from the security deposit:
- The total cost will be confirmed in writing to the client within seven days of the items return date, once the damage has been inspected and cost calculated.
- If the cost of repair or replacement is far greater than the amount of the security deposit, a separate invoice may be issued.
- The client is responsible for any loss or damage to goods for the entirety of the hire period, beginning at the point of collection and ending when the items are received by Butterfly Blessing Events on their return.
- Butterfly Blessing Events accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury caused to people or property by, or as a result, of the use of any item(s) hired.
5. Cleaning
- When hiring our props, you agree to return them in the same condition that they were provided to you.
- None of our items are dishwasher or bleach friendly
- Excessive cleaning costs may be charged for and deducted from the security deposit.
6. Agreement
- I, the customer understand and agree that in paying my £150 security deposit. I agree to all the terms and conditions above.
